Cunning and vain, Anzu tends to only care about his own interests, befriending and using people usually for his own gain , though he does enjoy conversing with those that can match his wit.A master of shadows and curses, Anzu spends most of his time venturing around, seeing who he can trick into making a deal with him, often at the expense of one's soul.Most can never tell if what he speaks is the truth, or a beautifully hidden lie, and he plans to keep it that way.While he may come across as friendly, Anzu has no intention of letting anyone get to close, having been burned before by letting someone into his heart. He has no intention of letting what he considers a mistake, happen ever again.

Anzu is highly secretive, and he isn't one to reveal his past to others.Originating from Kugane, he has long since stopped keeping track of his age, for one who dosen't age physically it isn't something he really keeps track of, nor really cares about.He spends most of his time moving around places, hunting down those he can make a deal with, or simply to ease his boredom for a short time, though he does appear rather fond of Kugane.He wasn't always as twisted as he is now, and while he had never claimed to be a good person, far from it actually, he had become much worse after letting someone into his life, something he still see's as his gravest mistake, and has since sworn to himself that no one is ever worth giving his heart to again.After escaping their clutches, and the prison he had been confined to for so long, he has kept himself at a distance, still coming across as charming to others but never letting them close, only enough for one to get an idea of the dark nature lurking within before he seals their fate with a deal.
